Swing Tips

Controlling the Shot's Trajectory (Hitting it lower)

To hit the ball lower than normal...Ball Back, Weight Forward and a Low Finish

To hit the ball higher than normal...Ball Forward, Weight Back and a High Finish
Greenside Bunker Play (How to use the sand wedge's bounce design)

Sand shots are some of the most feared shots in golf! The unique design of the sand wedge's "bounce" or "trailing edge" allows the ball to be exploded out by the shear force of the sand without actually striking the ball
Chipping (Use a system to develop feel and consistent results)

-Club selection... 5-iron, 7-iron and Pitching Wedge
-Club selection ratios...
Pitching (Shots less than 100 yards)

-Use the length of the swing to vary distance.
-Rotational speed remains constant on all length shots.
-Learn "three" different backswing lengths with the sand, pitching and lob wedge
Putting (Learn from the pros)

-The best putters keep the putter on the target line as long as possible. This is best accomplished with the eyes positioned over the ball and the arms hanging directly under the shoulder joints
Rotary Torso Drill

maintaining your posture, rotate the left shoulder level to the right as lower body resists. Hold the shoulder pivot as you change direction with a slight "bump" of the left hip toward the target. The spine will tilt right, head remains steady as you unwi
Downswing

Downswing...the shaft points on the target line in front of ball early in the downswing, then parallels target line before impact and returns to the left side at impact
Backswing

the shaft stays close to the left side (takeaway), parallels the target line at waist high and points at the target line halfway back
Weight Shift

-Proper weight shift occurs early in the backswing and is 80% complete by the time the club reaches the waist high position enabling the golfer to rotate to the top and effectively "Load" into the right side
Takeaway (Maintain the Triangle)

-The butt of the club moves with the center of the chest.
-Shoulders, arms, hands and club move together until the hands are past the right leg.
Set-Up (Setting the Correct Spine Angle)

-Bend forward from hip flexors with the back straight...relax the shoulders as you extend the target arm
Grip (Correct Positioning of the Right Hand)

Whether the left hand is strong , neutral or weak, the right hand should always match up with the "Base of the right hand to base of left thumb...Lifeline is on top".
